Six tabs and I could still walk into the cafeteria & buy a cup of coffee, bowl of cereal, and walk to class in the morning. That doesn’t leave much room for fear, does it.
Tornadoes showed up today instead. After a weird cat-nap I headed to Waites for guitar ensemble & found everybody gatherd around the projector, where colorful radar images showed a fat squall line heading our way with the possibility of tornadoes & hail. One cell ended up generating a red Tornado Warning polygon over us; we watched it develop & approach from the southwest, wrapt in rain & the most turquoise storminess I have ever seen, interrupted by flashes of purplish lightning. The rain whipt around, sirens went off, lonely & hollow tornado sirens. No confirmed touch-downs in Davidson County, but some in Wilkinson. I wished May had been there to see it.
